Dudley’s Named at 85 Orchard Street

No more agent orange – 85 Orchard Street was slathered in blue paint a few weeks ago, all but eradicating what remained of Little Giant. It is here that Ruby’s chef Nick Mathers is opening a new cafe. However, contrary to previous talk, the concept is not another branch of the popular Nolita hang. We are told that the corner joint at Broome Street is to be called Dudley’s instead.

In addition to the sit-down cafe menu, Dudley’s will also offer bar and coffee window. Here’s a gratuitous shot of the interior during build-out. The new establishment should be open sometime later this month.

Will Dudley’s, ahem, do right by the Lower East Side (we’ll be here all night, folks; be sure to tip your waitress)?
