Recap: Egg Rolls & Egg Creams on Eldridge [2012]
Weather was a scorcher yesterday for the twelfth annual Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival. This year the turnout for the cross-cultural block party seemed much higher than in the past. We arrived for the early shift, and Eldridge Street was a zoo. Barely room to navigate. So it was especially funny to watch the strollers attempt to make their way through.

Traditional Klezmer music blared while a handful danced; the elders played Mahjong; youngins mixed egg creams. Meanwhile, other family-oriented activities transpired inside the Eldridge Street Synagogue proper.
