Rihanna Gets Inked at Bang Bang NYC on the Lower East Side

Rihanna was back on the Lower East Side Saturday afternoon for some additional ink. The singer’s collection of indelibles grew to sixteen with the an Egyptian falcon shaped like a handgun. Her reasoning via Instagram: “Falcon: a light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep.”

The intricate right ankle tattoo – a distraction amidst the hoopla of her exes’ bar brawl (Chris Brown v. Drake) – is the work of her go-to artist Bang Bang, who is still preparing to open shop at 26 Clinton Street. Meanwhile, Bang Bang NYC remains shrouded behind some plastic window treatments, but is nevertheless accepting appointments.

The falcon is her second tattoo this year by Bang Bang, following the “little cross” branding on her collarbone from this past March.
