Aiko’s Nighttime Stenciling at the Bowery Graffiti Wall

It appears that Japanese street artist Aiko prefers to do her handiwork at night. Her stenciling at the Bowery graffiti wall began a few days ago, and is slowly coming together. And with slightly less fanfare than previous projects here. Although, when we stopped by last night, there were plenty of photographers and enthusiasts milling about, including Martha Cooper.

Aiko has a few helping hands to assist in hoisting the stencils into place for proper painting. Much of the bottom portion of the graffiti wall is already covered, but there’s still work to be done.
