Id America Opening Outpost at 145 Orchard

The southern storefront unit at 145 Orchard Street experienced little success in attracting any commercial tenants this past year. S11 (or Seleven), the small outpost of the Hong Kong-based label, shuttered exactly one year ago after a nine-month stint, an apparent victim of the so-called “fashion flight” from the neighborhood.

Today we bring news of a retail replacement – gadget accessory purveyors Id America. Their product is seemingly a step up from the usual run of tourist sidewalk bodegas, designing visually appealing mobile accessories, including iphone cases, headphones, earphones, and other fashion accessories like sunglasses. Id America will also offer iPhone repair services…to fix that “spiderwebbed” device.

Id America boasts two other midtown locations, but is now slumming it south of the border, so to speak. It should be open within the next couple days.
