Rooftop Police Chase and Arrest on St. Mark’s [Updated]

The corner of St. Marks and Second Avenue was a total spectator scene for the last forty-five minutes or so. It all started with seeing cops on the roof of both 18 and 20 St. Mark’s Place and ended with an arrest outside the nearby Chase bank.

Apparently the man was involved in some unconfirmed foul play (some speculate suicide attempt), and quickly fled east via rooftop. After arriving on Second Avenue, he reportedly began kicking and punching passing cars before the arrest. He was cuffed and taken away.
