That Median Stoop Sale on East Houston

The spirit of Billy’s Antiques still haunts the block of East Houston between Elizabeth Street and the Bowery. It’s rather common to see his former people, including longtimer Trini, peddling a stack of sundries by the chain-link fence.

And then there’s this. Yesterday morning, the median was littered with records, video game controllers, and some tacky artwork. No one in sight to sell the goods. Free for all. Were there any takers?

Meanwhile, the coffin is still lying in state for the duration.
