Breaking: Car Plows Into Canal Street Storefront [Updated]

We are receiving word that a car lost control on Canal Street shortly before 6 pm and plowed into the two-story building adjacent to Pearl Paint. Details are scant at the moment, but we hear that the driver is “hurt.”  The pictures pretty much sum up the bedlam going on over there.  Boogie reader GMD Three was there to capture the moment, and sent us the following photos.  Canal Street is shut down.  More as it develops.
