Carlisle Brigham Death on Orchard Street Ruled Accidental

The Medical Examiner’s office released their findings yesterday afternoon regarding the death of 29-year-old Carlisle Brigham. What was first believed to be a slashing incident has officially been ruled an accident.

Brigham was discovered in the stairwell of 191 Orchard Street Monday morning, bleeding profusely from her neck and with arm broken. First responders rushed her to Beth Israel where she later died from her injuries. The examiner stated that the victim ultimately succumbed to “blunt force trauma to the head and neck” which seems consistent with a tumble down the stairs.

Brigham had been estranged from her husband of one year and was living with a friend at 191 Orchard.
