Google Maps Now Shows NYC Subway Alerts

The official MTA website is totally bunk. Not only is the domain extension confusing and forgettable (it’s a .info), but navigating their online portal should be considered an olympic sport in itself. Just go to Google instead…

It appears the search behemoth licensed the metadata from the MTA and is now publishing subway alerts in its mapping system. When a user clicks on any subway station, service advisories and approximate transit times appear in an information box.

What do you think about this change to Google Maps?
