It’s three times a charm for Nick Walker here on the Lower East Side. Yesterday afternoon, the Bristol-based artist unveiled his third neighborhood piece near the corner of Eldridge and Hester Streets. Like the others at the DL and Hendershot Gallery, this one features his token dapper dude dressed in suit and top-hat. Yet there’s more color.

The character reclines atop a multi-colored block of “Vandal” while reading the New York Times. Unfortunately, none of the copy is legible.

This latest work of street art was thrown up on the famed Ira Gershwin building at 60 Eldridge Street. The musician was born here on December 6, 1896.
