Nike’s Rivington Court is Dismantled

Two months of Nike-sponsored basketball activities (and noise complaints) on the Lower East Side have come to a close. The Rivington Court, the mini sports complex behind Marta Valle/Lower East Side Prep, was dismantled yesterday after a finale weekend that included two finals matches – Battle of the Boroughs and the Nike Tournament of Champions. By sunset, little remained of the court and its stadium bleachers.
