Bleecker Transfer Hiccup: Wrong Date, Wrong Time

Wrong Date, Wrong Time

As of yesterday afternoon, the long-awaited Bleecker Street transfer is finally a reality for straphangers (overdue and over-budget). No more leaving the IND station to pay that annoying additional fare for the uptown 6. And vice versa. The project was over fifty years in the making.

But not everything in the new super-station is gravy. Like this new Light-Bright-esque prompter placed in the Broadway-Lafayette mezzanine just a couple months ago. It wasn’t turned on until yesterday, either, and apparently we’ve all been doing a bit of time traveling. No flux capacitor needed!

That’s the projected revised date and time for the Bleecker St. transfer to be up-and-running.

The escalator from F to 6 was already not working this morning during the first morning commute. Always a good sign of things to come…
