“Chinese Puzzle” Filming on the Lower East Side Today

Production on Chinese Puzzle, a new feature written and directed by French filmmaker Cedric Klapsich, is set to occupy a decent chunk of Lower East Side today. A plethora of filming signs cordon off an area predominantly east of Essex and north of Delancey.
Chinese Puzzle is the third installment in a trilogy that “follows the lives of four fictitious characters over the past decade.” It’s the sequel to Russian Dolls” and “L’Auberge Espagnole,” which finds protagonist Xavier amidst a mid-life crisis on the eve of his 40th birthday. The film is produced by Bruno Levy.
