Hells Angels Biker Bash on the Bowery Yesterday

The sound of revving motorcycles and sight of biker gangs galore on the Bowery generally signals one thing. The annual Hells Angels Biker Bash at the Bowery Electric. Festivities went down yesterday afternoon and into the evening. As usual, total culture clash was in full effect. Fashionistas crossing paths with burly men in leather, brunchers at Peels staring at cackling cliques smoking cigarettes and dropping f-bombs every other word.

This photo says it all, really, taken at the behest of the dog owner.

Saw this but was afraid of to take pics. Never know how they’re going to react. I once was crossing 4th street, by Phebes, with me having the right of away, while a Hell’s Angels biker was trying to make a right turn but didn’t see me since he was busy checking out your typical high-heeled and mini-skirted fashionista on Bowery. He started yelling at me and saying how I should stay out of his way, and I responded back that he should pay more attention to the traffic instead of the woman. Good thin 4th st. is a one-way street otherwise he would have turned around and probably chased me.
