Led Zeppelin’s “Celebration Day” Coming to Sunshine Cinema Next Week

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow…don’t waste time heading to Sunshine Cinema next week to get the Led out. The Lower East Side movie house is next in line to play Celebration Day, the new documentary film chronicling Zeppelin’s reunion show at O2 five years ago. That concert was an overall tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records who was instrumental in mainstreaming the band in the late 1960s.
Celebration Day is screening for one night only – Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30 and 9:00 pm. So snap up them tickets before they sell out.
The news follows on the heels of the world premiere at the Ziegfeld a couple days ago, and the rare Led Zeppelin press conference at the MoMa. The latter made headlines due to Robert Plant’s curt response to the same old questions from reporters. Yes, it would be great to see these guys reunite for a string of shows, but probably best for their legacy if they don’t.
