New Chef and Menus for Fatta Cuckoo on Clinton Street

“We don’t want any more closed gates on the block,” says Leah Tinari of Fatta Cuckoo. She’s, of course, referring to the three restaurant shutters on the northern stretch of Clinton Street within the last few months. The statement is likely an attempt to drum up support for her own establishment which just underwent a change in the kitchen.
Christopher Mitchell left his chef post this month, and was quickly replaced with Matias Hernandez, formerly of Fatty Crab. The swap-out at 63 Clinton Street comes with a new set of menus and weeknight special events, natch. ”We are really excited about the food we are serving and the overall happiness at Fatta and we want more lovely folks to come and see us and come to Clinton Street,” said Tinari.
