Fire-Stricken 157 Rivington Now For Sale

In early October, a space heater on the second floor of 157 Rivington Street ignited a mattress and sparked a late-night fire. FDNY immediately responded with the deployment of the ladder brigade, and the blaze was extinguished. No injuries were reported at the time. With a month having already elapsed, the building is now up for sale.
Trulia is carrying the exclusive on the new-to-market 157 Rivington Street, which pegs the five-story “income investment opportunity” at $3,100,100. There are two stores currently in operation on the ground level (1,100 square-feet) and “eighteen families” living up above (7,140 square-feet).
