LES Heritage Film Series Returns to Seward Park Library with “Desperately Seeking Susan”

It’s the third Tuesday of November, so you know what that means. Yup. Time for another installment of the “LES Heritage Film Series: The 80s” at the Seward Park Library on East Broadway. Tonight kicks off another season of the acclaimed program, with a special screening of cult classic Desperately Seeking Susan. Afterward, there will be a Q&A with director Susan Seidelman.
With the help of Madonna and Rosanna Arquette, Desperately Seeking Susan brought the East Village of the 1980s to the forefront, including prominent placement of Love Saves the Day. The toy shop shuttered in 2009 thanks to the recent wave of unrelenting gentrification.
Showtime is at 6:30 pm.
