National Guard Truck Fatally Hits Pedestrian on Canal Street [Updated]

Damn, this is terrible news. At around 2:15 this afternoon, a National Guard supply truck (yeah, those) hit an elderly male in the intersection of Canal and Centre Streets in Chinatown. Scanner reports indicate the victim was listed DOA. Further information is not yet available, but the NYPD Accident Investigation squad is reportedly on hand. Drop a line if you have more.
