Sunshine Cinema Partners with New York Cares for Sandy Relief

Sunshine Cinema just joined forces with New York Cares to help those still affected by Hurricane Sandy. All profits from the midnight screenings this weekend will benefit relief efforts across the storm-ravaged area.

And it’s a double-feature of midnight movies this time around - The Miami Connection and Hackers.

On a somewhat related note, Sunshine Cinema last made headlines with its current bid to transform the theater at 143 East Houston into a “dinner-and-a-movie” destination concept. Their application for an on-premise license was withdrawn last month. Stay tuned.
