Shortly before 11pm last night, a taxicab veered into the lightpole on the northeast corner of Bowery and East Third Street. Boogie reader Rogey_Mac was at the scene as it unfolded, and reported that some pedestrians were injured in the accident. Three ambulances and two fire engines promptly arrived; the victims were whisked away to the hospital.

Details are rather scant, so no word on the number of pedestrians nor the extent of injuries.  If you have more information or photos, hit the tipline.
