Chinatown Apple iPad Mini Billboard Gets Inked

The iPad Mini in Chinatown is bleeding.

The east-facing billboard affixed to the so-called “Counterfeit Triangle” on Canal Street perpetually promotes some sort of Apple product. Been that way for years. Now it’s wounded. Indeed, the current iPad Mini ad recently received a bit of extra black “ink,” which is streaming down the white vinyl with ease. Soggy weather probably isn’t helping matters much, either.

Could this be a reprise of the Splasher, or just another thrill-seeking vandal with a bucket of paint? Let’s see how long it takes for a replacement billboard to arrive.
