In true Christmas spirit, Jimmy Fallon has become the cell phone samaritan.

An unidentified commuter left behind an iPhone 5 in a city taxi Saturday afternoon, and the Late Night host found it. Fallon announced as much in a tweet to his 7.2 million followers.

If you lost this iphone 5 in a cab in Manhattan yesterday, I have it!! Call your phone. I can’t wait to get it back to you.

Based on the photo shared, this could go one of two ways: there is a beautiful woman missing her cell phone or the phone dropped out of the trenchcoat of a creeper with a picture of a beautiful woman set as his/her wallpaper. Either way, calling Jimmy Fallon to retrieve your phone sure beats calling the TLC lost and found.

If this happens to be your phone, or you know the person, first give Jimmy a call and then let us know the rest of the story. Good looking out, Fallon!

The City is About to Screw the LES Waterfront Again with this 1,000-Foot Tower

The city will screw the Lower East Side waterfront by allowing this 1,000-foot tower to proceed. Indeed, the Department of City Planning reversed course this week, and will now hear the case for this monstrosity. This despite the ongoing litigation over the contested few parcels on the backside of Extell’s One Manhattan Square. It’s certainly a […]

St. Jerome’s on Rivington Street is Dead, for Real This Time

The gates are now shuttered for good, capping a decade (including a year-long hiatus) for the establishment. The closure follows two months […]

MTA Brushes off Vehement Local Opposition to ‘Gracias Mama’ Entrance on Rutgers Street

The MTA sees nothing wrong with having a restaurant entrance mere feet from a bustling subway station. Specifically that of Gracias Mama, whose principals (Koorosh Bakhtiar and Nima Garos) are trying to alter their method of operation, which could become a harbinger of overcrowding in a small area. The bold choice to move the front […]
