The Gingerbread Tenement

Educators at the Tenement Museum constructed a traditional treat just in time for the holiday season. One with ties to the German spice cookie lebkuchen. Yup, a spicy new gingerbread tenement building.

According to the museum blog, bricks were baked, drawn, and scored from the sticky batch of dough. The cornice itself was fashioned from black licorice. Yum.
