Klughaus Gallery Vacates 47 Monroe Street

Gritty street-style showroom Klughaus Gallery recently departed its Chinatown perch. Indeed, the ground level at 47 Monroe Street went dark January 1 after exactly one year at this address. It was a space that seemed to capitalize on the youthful energy generated across the way at Coleman Skatepark. Rime and Toper headlined the anniversary gallery show with “Snap Back: Dangerous Drawings About New York,” the fourteenth and final installation at this address.
Klughaus is reportedly moving to a new location later in the spring, but not much else is known beyond that. We’ll keep you apprised.
Meanwhile, a large leasing sign has since taken up residence on the security gate.
