Los Perros Locos Opens at 201 Allen Street Tomorrow

Its transparent storefront has been teasing the Lower East Side appetite for weeks. That’s when months-in-the-making Los Perros Locos shed a layer of secrecy to unveil the new hot dog concept at 201 Allen Street. With window paper gone, its photogenic guts have been on public display, including the colorful mural by UR New York.

Con Edison finally turned on the gas, and now an opening is close at hand. Co-owner Alex Mitow confirms the Colombian-style doghouse will start serving tomorrow for lunch. Noon, to be precise.

Allen Street previously housed the Sun Shine Cafe Chinese bakery, which closed up shop last July.
