Strokes news is fast and furious this week. First a fresh single to tickle the ears (“One Way Trigger”) and now more conclusive album details. Billboard has it that the city-based retro-rock outfit will drop its fifth studio LP, Comedown Machine, on March 26. Hopefully the music contained therein sounds better than this lame-ass title…

The first official single is “All the Time,” available to the public as a free download for those who pre-order the record starting February 19.

By the way, the release date for Comedown Machine comes nearly two years to the day after the arrival of Angles.

What do you think of the new song…and the cover art?

The project site at 100 Norfolk Street now boasts branded plywood wrapping for the eventual mess of construction to debut here shortly. The SKINnY Set to Return to Orchard Street After 2 Year Hiatus

Narrow Orchard Street dive, The SKINnY Bar & Lounge, closed way back in 2012. That’s an eternity by city standards. The reason for its (temporary) shutter was an expansion into the neighboring store that previously housed Elegant Woolen & Silk. Since then, never-ending construction on the neighboring Orchard Hell Building (i.e. Hotel Indigo) has consumed the […]
