Almost two years after Angles dropped, The Strokes are set to return with new output in the not-so-distant future. Billboard confirms that the fivesome will release album number five later this year, with “All the Time” already chosen as leadoff single. Apparently Seattle radio station 107.7 previewed the new track at the behest of RCA Records, claiming that “you won’t be disappointed.”

It’s still rumored that the LP was recorded at Electric Lady Studios under the auspices of producer Gus Oberg.

In related news, frontman Julian Casablancas deejayed at Home Sweet Home Tuesday evening as part of the Gay Vinyl party.
