Here’s an inkling of good news out of Ludlow Street. With the first extension nearing conclusion, the Living Room was able to procure an additional two-month reprieve at its soon-to-evaporate space. We hear word that performances will continue through the end of April.

The new arrangement at 154 Ludlow is likely linked to the failed efforts of Pianos principals in their bid to open another venue here. One that calls for “dinner theater” with music, art gallery, and Mediterranean-style cuisine. The group appeared before Community Board 3 last week, but was shot down thanks to a groundswell of community opposition led by nascent NIMBY, LES Dwellers Association.
