Saucy West Village mainstay Joe’s Pizza has been collecting hype points ever since word first leaked about its new 14th Street outpost (former Naked Pizza space). After more than three decades in business, the time was apparently ripe for some uptown expansion. Launch is nigh.

Yesterday afternoon was the friends and family lunch-fest; today the slice spot soft opens. Decor is simple – reflecting the original – and includes a group of Tiffany lights, exposed brick, fresh tiling, and obligatory celebrity photos. The wall grease is forthcoming.

What’s your opinion of Joe’s Pizza?
