‘The Michael J. Fox Show’ Filming on the Bowery Today

Mere days after the announcement of Governor Chris Christie’s forthcoming cameo, The Michael J. Fox Show will be filming today on the Bowery. Cones and signs are already in place just north of Houston. Great scott!

The new sitcom, which takes place in New York City, echoes elements of the actor’s own life. Fox plays Mike Henry, a sportscaster diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease who is returning to the field five years after first leaving his career for health reasons. It premieres September 26 on NBC.

Even though The Michael J. Fox Show isn’t out yet, the series was already honored with the “Critics’ Choice Television Award for Most Exciting New Series.” Here’s the trailer:
