Cocoron is expanding like crazy. Already with two locations under its collective banner – plus the Goemon Curry offshoot – the fast casual Japanese eatery will soon add another. Located equidistant from the others on Delancey/Kenmare Street.

Subtle signage appeared behind the roll-down security gate of 16 Delancey over the weekend, announcing the forthcoming arrival of more soba. This outpost takes over from a restaurant supply company (i.e. The Furnishing Supplies) that went out of business a few months ago. Expect a beer-wine application before Community Board 3 in the coming months.

Cocoron debuted its Japanese comfort food at 61 Delancey six years ago and was an overnight hit. The company expanded across the Bowery at 37 Kenmare in 2012. Goemon Curry followed a couple years later at the same address.
