Serafina Rolls out the Red Carpet for its Rivington Street Opening
It doesn’t get much tackier than this.
Last night, Serafina literally rolled out the red carpet and photo backdrop for the opening of its Lower East Side location at 98 Rivington Street. Drum-and-bass music kept the crowd of insiders (not of the neighborhood) at bay.
Also, note the “cocktails and pizza” neon lettering which seems like a dual nod to both Schiller’s and the movie Cocktail.
This official opening of Serafina is two weeks late, though. Teaser signage posted last month advertised a November 14 launch.
Recall that this high-profile corner in the heart of Hell Square was previously home to Galli Restaurant. The establishment served Italian food to the neighborhood for roughly sixteen months. Same concept as sister outpost to the SoHo brand, it replaced the decade-long run of ‘inoteca.
