Trash is sometimes treasure.

Everyone knows that 225 Bowery is to become the newest Ace Hotel in the stable. However, the company never officially confirmed their intentions here. Even as the transformative construction work atop the building proceeds. Well, official blueprints trashed on Chrystie Street late Tuesday night all but confirm this.

We had received a tip that the documents were strewn across the sidewalk and being used by the neighborhood homeless as a makeshift mattress. Anyone passing could take a look at the plans, which were dated as of June 2015. The rendering on the first page matches those offered on the HAKS architecture firm’s website.

And then they were gone by morning.
