’80s Concept Bar ‘GB85’ on Rivington Street is for Sale

The 1980s-themed bar GB85 on Rivington Street is not long for the neighborhood. As next of kin for Stay Classy New York, the small concept spot is now listed for sale.

Tower Brokerage was retained to represent the seller. According to the real estate listing making the rounds, the 1,300 square-foot (plus basement) space is on the market for $5,200 per month. That’s in addition to an unknown amount in key money.

There was also an open house at 174 Rivington Street for potential suitors last week.

To be sure, both GB85 and Stay Classy play in the same nightlife sandbox – Instagram-ready watering holes that are built for press releases and social sharing. In this instance, we’re told that the sale is largely due to wrangling between ownership behind the scenes.

In the meantime, GB85 remains open for a couple days each week for random “parties.”
