‘Nonna’s LES Pizzeria’ Might Not Have Much Time Left on Clinton Street
This isn’t a good sign for the eight-year-old Nonna’s LES Pizzeria on Clinton Street. Literally.
Just look toward the second floor to scope out the “store for rent” placard nestled between the bar’s of the fire escape.
Update: a reader tells us that the pizzeria is not closing, and that the availability is for the space above the store.
Nonna’s, which means “grandma” in Italian, arrived at 105 Clinton Street back in the spring of 2009 as “Nonna Apa Pizzeria.” It took over from Pizza Mama’s, and became a well-known stop among pizza aficionados seeking its artichoke slice.
