Eldridge Street Stikman

Outside 132 Eldridge Street is a veritable canvas of colorfully detailed Stikman art.  It’s nice to see such a unique presentation, especially since most Stikmen in the neighborhood seem to be flattened in the streets.

Benefit for Tuli Kupferberg at Bowery Poetry Club Tomorrow

Tomorrow night, the Bowery Poetry Club is hosting a benefit for Tuli Kupferberg, famous poet, author, and co-founder of rock group The Fugs.  Kupferberg recently suffered two strokes and is now blind.  Funds raised during this event will help pay for his medical costs.

A Scene Outside OTB on Delancey [Video]

Regardless of the season, gamblers generally tend to congregate outside the OTB outpost on Delancey.  They are usually civil, pacing back and forth, talking shop, and discussing their wagers.  Nothing crazy.  But every now and again, there is a scene.  On this particular occasion, the NYPD responded to a drowsy drunkard sleeping at the foot of Happiness Deli.
