Once upon a time, Yee Fay Inc. was the operative business inside the squat warehouse at 37 Kenmare Street. Not anymore, though. Their signage was pried from the roofline, and replaced with twin leasing signs. Indeed, the spot is now up for grabs.

For the last couple weeks, we’ve been watching a group of young folk prepare the latest installation inside the Bridge Gallery at 98 Orchard Street. From early morning until late at night, the volunteers and artists toiled to assemble the extensive network of colorful panels into a trippy tube of psychedelia. At any given moment, there is at least one person staring through the windows for a quick peek of the art. It’s hard to miss.

Looks like the V train is having the last laugh; it’s not quite dead yet. Although the subway line was phased out back in June, and a hipster party thrown to celebrate-slash-mourn, subtle remnants of its existence are still visible.

It appears Gallery 151 will soon return to a familiar venue. The pop-up exhibitioners spent a brief period of time at 350 Bowery, but moved on to the green pastures of the Village Green on East Eleventh Street last year. Soon they’ll be back on the Bowery for more.
