Whereas many sprouting construction sites are encapsulated in netting for safety, the new Sperone Westwater Gallery at 257 Bowery is quite an exception.  Weeks after first revealing its hulking skeleton, building frontage remains exposed, providing a clear view of progress.

Stop Work Order Issued at 185 Bowery

Demolition of the century-old townhouse at 185 Bowery has hit the proverbial wall.  Last Friday, March 5, the DOB issued a Stop Work Order to halt all work on premises.
