It was a bit unexpected. Almost an entire block of Formula One race cars and other types of exotic vehicles rarely spied on the downtown streets of Manhattan.

Here on the Lower East Side, a tree splinters and falls in Sara D. Roosevelt Park and no one was around to hear it.

Last August, the New York Times broke news that the Nativity Mission Center, located at 204 Forsyth Street since 1948, was looking to sell.
