Iacopo Falai’s eponymous Caffe at 265 Lafayette Street closed for renovations last November, never to reopen.

A reader spotted this ridiculous ad at Grand and Lafayette for Wodka Vodka. It basically depicts Kim Jong-un as Dr. Claw petting MAD cat; or Blofeld/white cat; or Dr. Evil/Mr. Bigglesworth. The rash of internet outcry about the authenticity issues in the new Bay version had us reminiscing about the first live-action Turtles movie, released in 1990. A number of scenes were actually filmed on Lafayette Street.
