Denizens of Spring Street, get ready for a waxing! The so-called Ministry of Waxing is slated to move into the recently-renovated 56 Spring Street sometime this summer under the moniker Strip.

The intersection of East Houston and Lafayette is dangerous enough, even without the subway superstation mess that has appropriated the area.  It’s a high traffic zone full of commuters on foot, bicycle, or in cars.  During the morning rush yesterday, a livery driver collided with a cyclist.

Last week, some anti-BP wheat-paste surfaced in the intersection of East Houston and Lafayette, just a stone’s throw from the gas station itself.  The hyperlocal backlash to the environmental catastrophe continues.

BP is in a world of shit right now, and last night, dozens of New Yorkers mobilized to the BP gas station at the corner of Houston and Lafayette to protest.
