As mentioned on Monday, neighborhood sweetheart il Laboratorio del Gelato is moving from its longtime Orchard Street storefront to a much larger space at 188 Ludlow on Sunday. We couldn’t help but stop by for a sneak peek of the new HQ last night. One word – brightness.

Next Sunday, il Laboratorio del Gelato will open its tremendous new space at 188 Ludlow, the ground-level retail space of luxury rental complex The Ludlow. Yesterday afternoon, we treated ourselves to two scoops of premium gelato and were greeted with a formal announcement of the Orchard Street farewell.
