Up above the corner of Broome and Chrystie Streets is an aging, yet surprisingly well preserved billboard from a bygone era. The dual signs advertise a machinery supply company called Aronson Printing Machinery Co., once headquartered at 131 Chrystie.

Diesel’s latest ad campaign continues to ruffle feathers around town. Especially in the West 4th subway station, where efforts to sabotage their “Be Stupid” promos have transpired for weeks.

Hollister Adds Proper Signage

As we speak, in the wet early morning snow, the front of the Hollister flagship in SoHo is receiving a proper branding.  Even though the store opened last summer, the entrance never had signage.  Just the ad mural in the old DKNY billboard space.

The new Spike television show Blue Mountain State is receiving some pre-premiere negative reviews from the street. Subway advertising for the upcoming comedy program in Grand Street stations was recently vandalized to read, “this is what rape culture looks like.” A valid point given the legs-in-a-helmet logo.
