Hanging above the entrance of Billy’s Antiques & Props is a cardboard sign that says, “fresh corn sold here, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays.”  Piqued at this apparent diversification, we reached out to Billy Leroy for comment.  The answer – Billy’s Farm Stand.

Cafe Colonial closed its doors for good on May 25 after sixteen years residing at the corner of Elizabeth and East Houston.  Less than one week later, the obscuring brown paper made its grand appearance in the cornershop windows.  A new establishment is currently in the works, and it’s surely not food, but a boutique [...]

As EV Grieve reported last week, the old graffiti mural slab at the corner of Bowery and East Houston was completely removed, along with the Os Gêmeos artwork. In its place is a much larger, paneled facade built almost exclusively for public art.  And it’s already been tagged numerous times.
