Casanis is now serving again, a few days earlier than expected. We passed by yesterday evening and saw a few couples dining inside.  Still no store signage, though, just the forest green.
UPDATE: A commenter informs us that Casanis is kaput, and that it’s re-christened Le Cubain, a French-Cuban combo joint.

The renovation of Casanis at 81 Ludlow Street (corner of Broome) is continuing at a clip.  Yesterday afternoon, a painter was busy erasing the old restaurant signage with a fresh coat of forest green paint.  As reported here last week, the eatery plans to reopen for business on August 5.  Seems to be progressing on [...]

Broome Street bistro Casanis is currently undergoing renovations. Pinned to the menu box out front is a sign that reads, “The restaurant will be closed until August 5.
