Chico has been in the local news quite a bit the past couple of weeks.  EV Grieve first reported that the Lower Eastside Girls Club commissioned the neighborhood luminary, who has since moved to Florida, to paint various messages of anti-violence.  In particular, at his prime canvas near the corner of Houston and Avenue B.  [...]

NBA 2K10 Ad Mural at 77 Delancey

NBA 2K10 is really shelling out the big bucks for intrusive ad murals around downtown.  Chico’s longstanding “spay/neuter” artwork on Avenue A was the first victim, recently expunged in favor of promoting the video game.  Now, a similar one is in the works for the Colossal-owned facade of 77 Delancey.
