Manhattan Mini Storage is conveniently using the cramped quarters of upper Ludlow for a new commercial.  Filming will set up today between Houston and Stanton.

Time Warner Cable has been turning up the heat lately on Fios.  Commercials for the service air seemingly every break, touting the so-called merits of its monopoly and how Verizon pales in comparison.  The spot which plays ad nauseum is “counterfeit sunglasses,” which no doubt strives to capture a Canal Street bodega type of vibe. This year, the TriBeCa Film Festival will run from April 21 through May 2.  In anticipation of the annual event, which tends to monopolize movie screens across downtown, the organization is filming a commercial (or other promo material) in the general confines of Hell Square.

SISLEY Cosmetics will be filming in the neighborhood today.  The requisite traffic cones and flouresent “no parking” signs are in place along Broome Street between Ludlow and Norfolk.

All day tomorrow, Tooheys beer will be filming a commercial around the corner from Phebe’s on East Fourth Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue.  Park Pictures is responsible for the production.
