Miami Advertises on Houston

There’s a big promotional push happening in the neighborhood right now for travel to Miami. Taped to light poles along the Houston corridor, from east to west, are dozens of advertisements with the tagline “express yourself.”  As if people here really needed to be told to visit Florida.

Desperate to Shovel

As stated on this flyer at the corner of Elizabeth and East Houston, an enterprising person is desperate to shovel snow. Cars are $20, but the vagueness of the “anything else” pricing category is rather amusing.

Dixon Place Flyer Box

Dixon Place moved to its current location at 161A Chrystie Street just over one year ago. The new facility is bigger and better, and remains a great support system for creativity in the neighborhood.  But it hasn’t completely forsaken the Bowery.
